Camels have always been a synopsis in the story of Rajasthan and it is only befitting that they are adorned with love and kindness of the people. The camel festival of Rajasthan is a vibrant display of Rajasthan`s extreme love and generosity towards this “ship of the Desert”. It is held in the city of Bikaner where the monument at Junagarh Fort subsumes the backdrop. The camels tap their feet to the tune of their trainers, decorated in exquisite accessories. Dance and music are a refulgent attraction of this festival.

The lambent highlight of this festival are the blazing fire dancers balancing burning lamps on their foreheads while dancing. Many competitions add re juvenescence to this macrocosm of joy, which include the tug of war content, camel dance, acrobatics etc. The camel festival is definitely a radiant feature of grand Rajasthan.
