Brij Festival
Krishna: Lover, Friend, Philosopher, Guide, father…. The attributes may not suffice but, His opulence, His beauty, His qualities cannot even fit in a macrocosm. He is omnipotent, opulent, omnifarious – everything defined and undefined. Perhaps that is why India has always worshipped the Supreme Godhead with the utmost sanctity and devotion.
When it comes to India, how can we bypass the mention of Brij Festival that drenches whole of Rajasthan in the innate Love for Krishna, and his ‘Ras-Leela’. Held in the month of March, just before the diverse and chromatic Holi festival, the festival enlivens the eternal love of Radha-Krishna. Grabbing limelight ,the Rasila dance of Bharatpur, Rajasthan, illustrates their divine Love in a very picturesque manoeuver.
Music always remains an integral part of the vivacious fest. The villagers of Bharatpur, quite dexterously, perform the Rasila Dance amidst a divine atmosphere of celestial bliss. The whole of the place is adorned in a luculent diversity of colors, and every soul is swayed in the colors of life. The Brij Mahotsav is intransigent regarding fervor and divinity. All age groups, enjoy the fest, with a sense of vigor that bears a mutual semblance.
