The festival is at its best during the last three days of the celebrations, when the statues of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati are adorned in beautiful clothes and jewellery. It is held in the city of Bikaner where the monument at Junagarh Fort subsumes the backdrop. The camels tap their feet to the tune of their trainers, decorated in exquisite accessories.
